Wacław_Zaleski_(1868-1913)100 years ago, on December 24th 1913 at the age of 45 count Wacław Zaleski-Dołęga, son of Philip Zaleski (1836-1911) had died in Martinsbrunn near Merano (Trentino – Alto Adige), governor of Galicia (1883-1888) and a President of the Polish Lobby (Koło) in the Austro-Hungarian State Council, a conservative politician ("Podolak"), from 1911 minister for Galicia, as well as of agriculture and exchequer within the Austrian government , a secret adviser at the court of Emperor Franz Joseph I, a devout catholic (attended the Mass daily ) and a Sodalis Marianus.
