90 years ago, on the 30th of October 1923 Andrew Bonar Law had died in London at the age of 65. A financier and a politician, born in Canada, he spent most of his life in Scotland; from 1900 a repeated member of the House of Commons, from 1911 a leader of the Conservative Party, Secretary of State for the Colonies subsequently Chancellor of Exchequer in War Cabinets; from 1919 Lord of Privy Seal and at the same time a leader for the House of Commons; in October of 1922 he became the Prime Minister of Great Britain, but in May of the following year stepped down due to illness.
