Fr. Stanislaw Tworkowski
15 years ago, on March 7th 1999, at the age of 98 Fr. Stanislaw Tworkowski (coat of arms) Ossoria died in Dąbrówka near Kadzidło in Kurpiowska Forest at the age of 98, a Catholic writer and a scout activist as well as a soldier in the 1st Polish Corps in Russia (Gen. J. Dowbor – Muśnicki) in priesthood for 72 years (he was the eldest and most experienced clergyman in the Archdiocese of Warsaw), a Home Army (AK) chaplain and participant in the Warsaw Uprising, from 1971 to 1983 a parish priest at St.Hedwigs’ in Milanówek (near Warsaw), from 1981 a chaplain of J. Primate Glemp, a Catholic traditionalist and a critic of the Second Vatican Council’s resolutions, from the interwar period a member of the National Party and a promoter of "Poland without Jews"; a defender of the unborn – in 1960 convicted and sentenced to six weeks in prison for the "illegal" publishing of the anti-abortion novel "Kainka", in later life persecuted in many various ways.
