Alexander cardinal Kakowski
75 years ago, on December 30th 1938, at the age of 76 – archbishop Alexander cardinal Kakowski – Kościesza had died in Warsaw, a roman-catholic bishop and a doctor of the Holy Theology, was ordained in 1886, from 1911 a rector of the Theological Academy in St. Petersburg, since 1913 an Archbishop of Warsaw, from the 12th of September 1917 until 14 th of November 1918 a member of the Regency Council of the Polish Kingdom, 15th September 1919 appointed a cardinal by Pope Benedict XV , from 1925 a titular primate for life of the Polish Kingdom; chevalier and Chancellor of the Chapter of the Order of the White Eagle.
