Andrew in Fife ( Scotland) and the local director of the Centre for Ethics , Philosophy and Public Affairs , engaged with the philosophy of the mind, history of medieval philosophy (especially Aquinas ) and the Scottish philosophy of the eighteenth century (especially Th. Reid ) , ethics, political philosophy , philosophy, religion , aesthetics, and the role of art in spiritual education, a Roman Catholic, a cavalier of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem ( OESSH ) ; a representative of analytical Thomism , a critic of liberalism (especially J. Rawls' theory of justice ) ,following Saint Augustine calls for the rediscovery of the ideal of a nation as a moral community , which recognises the sense of its existence in public, symbolic forms of expression , such as the funeral of a monarch or a national hero.
